The ability to Forecast trends has been added to the Time Series Line chart in Data Miner. There are several forecasting algorithms available: Linear Regression, SMO Reg, Gaussian Processes, and Multilayer Perceptron. These capabilities allow the fine-tuning of forecasts in a precise manner.
In addition to forecasting, Regression Analysis has also been added to Data Miner allowing the determination of which parameters have the most influence on the outcome of your data. There are several algorithms available for this analysis as well: Linear Regression, SMO Reg and Multilayer Perceptron. The resulting model includes not only a numerical dependency equation, but also contains statistical analysis of the how well the results fit the data.
